This was a really fun idea from Bryce's blog. I've been on a memory lane trip lately and thought it would be fun to remember some of the best times (or worst) times I've had with all of you. So, here's how the game works:1.As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you. If you don't want to play on your blog, or if you don't have a blog, I'll leave my memory of you in my comments.

Who's "hi, I'm ruby?"

Anyway, here's my memory. I remember right after my mission we were playing the game, "GUESSTURES," and my brother Curt and his wife Alicia were even staying with us. I remember that you have to act out four different cards in a certain amount of time. Well, your first card was "doorbell." So right as the timer started, you dashed for the doorbell to ring it, and before you even got to the doorbell, the time had passed and went to the next card. By the time you got back to the living room, you only had time to act out one more card and you weren't able to do it! It was funny, because the intentions were there, but I think we all underestimated how little of time there is in that game!

PS-Hopefull you can read those scanned pages we sent. Feel free to ask me any questions about it!

Oh, by the way, in case you can't tell, that first memory was of Mom. Sorry, Dad, I forgot my memory of you. So here it goes.

I remember that in that same "GUESSTURES" game that you were supposed to act out, "bug." You sat there and fiddled around FOREVER and all of us were getting on your case just telling you to do something so we could just guess something. Well, you didn't do anything until right when the time went out. You gave this weird face that I will never forget, and you put both hands in the air and went something like, "WUUUEEHHH." I just thought it was funny that you spent all that time not doing any actions, but after the time was already up, you decided to give one really funny (but pathetic, I must admit) attempt at your best "bug" impression.

Oh yes, I forgot about Dan. It's funny that that one "GUESSTURES" game had so many highlights. As I was thinking about it, it got me thinking about Dan's role in that game.

Dan, you confused our team, man. To act out your card, you stared me down with a psychotic face. You then started walking slowly towards me in some kind of a slow march. We all started guessing, "PSYCHOPATH," "KILLER," "MASS MURDERER."

When the time ran out and we didn't guess right, you got so mad at us and shouted out, "WEDDING." I thought it was so funny because you thought that by "walking down the isle," we should have been able to easily guess, "wedding." Anyway, this was fun to remember, and we all sure do love you guys here in KC.

So mom, my first memory of you is when i was a kid and I think you were still dating dad, but we went to I.F. I think it was on the way home, but dad drove off the road and hit a reflector and smashed out the passenger window. Some of the details are hazy but that is my first memory of you.

Dad, the memory that sticks out to me is when we were up hunting and we both shot identical twin bucks. They may have been identical but I am pretty sure mine was bigger :).

Ahhh, I love memory lane! So . . .

Mary-The first time Caeite, Karina, and I were all at your house together you were so kind and took us to eat. I remember laughing and talking and just loving that it was girls only and feeling like we were bonding. Of course, I've loved every bonding moment since then too!

Jeff-When I stayed with ya'll right before Madison was due I was missing Bryce so much and things were very . . . emotional for me. Anyway, one day in your living room I broke down and cried and you held me while I let a lot of frustration out. My other favorite memories are not really of me, but you with my kids. The reading and wrestling, horseback riding, ball games . . . thanks for all the time you spend with them!

Everybody is doing Mom first so I'm going to throw one out for Pop first here.

Jiggs - I remember one time we set up the tent in the back yard. I think it was just me and Jeremy sleeping outside. We were just about ready to go to sleep and we hear Predator outside the tent and he's touching the sides of the tent and trying to get in. It turns out it was just Dad making the Predator sound (he's very good at by the way. next time you see him you'll have to ask him to do it for those of you who have never witnessed it)and trying to scare us. Well needless to say it worked. We were freaked out of our minds.

Mert - I think it was for a prom date... nope it was for the valentines day dance, but I remember you "chaperoned" a date that me and Chris and Jakey went on. We all decided that we were going to go scuba diving for our date (very cool date idea by the way.) For some reason they wouldn't let us go unless we had someone over the age of 50... Just kidding. They had to have someone over 21 and so you decided to come along with us. We had a dang blast and I remember that all the girls wanted to come and hang out with you after that. They had a fun time and were always telling me how cool my mom was for going on a date with us. It was cool growing up with a younger mom, because all my friends parents were like 70 while we were growing up and my friends, especially the girls, always wanted to come hang out because of how cool my mom was. Those are my memories and I had better get some from the lot of ya. :P

Well, this comment is left for Jake. I have enjoyed watching you play basketball so much. One time when you did the dunk in a H.S. game it was so exciting and everyone got up and cheered and when I stood up I almost passed out. Those were the funnest baseketball games I've been to. Thanks for the memories to all of my children (which includes the dau-in-laws and grandkids).L=
Love You All, Mom, Nana
