April Birthdaze

Eva Lois Hughes, born many years ago (1938), had another birthday on the 20th of April. She is the third child of Rulon and Eva Mace Hughes. She has two brothers and one sister. Lois loves going south for the winter so she can play Bingo without repurcussions from her gambling ways! She said several of you kids wrote on her facebook to wish her Happy Birthday and that was so sweet. Many more happy days to you Mom, Lois.

Jackson (?) Carter was born on April 24th, 2007 to Bryce and Amy. He is only three but I'm sure his parents think he is turning 5 because he is such a wonderful handful! Just look at that beautiful smile. He is such a livewire and so entertaining. He and Grandpa Carter are such good buddys when we go to Georgia. Happy Birthday Jackson with lots of love from The Carter Grandparents & your favorite Uncle, Uncle Dan!

Bull Riding Kid

I just saw this post on my Facebook and hope all of you can watch this. Studley Preston is riding a bull!!! A must see!

Happy St. Paddys Day

So I thought of all of you today and wanted to send me doing a jig. Just like I have seen Andersin and Alexis do. Let me know what you think. Should I go for Americas Got Talent with this cute dance?

March Birthdays

Well, here I am. I just had my 45th birthday on the 8th while in China. It was a bit depressing, being 45, 'cause now I am 6 years older than Jeff, since Jeff decided to stay perpetually 39. Life has had it's ups and downs but mostly ups. I am so grateful to all of my family. Parents, brothers and there families, sons, daughter-in-laws and grandkids. Yes, life is good!

Sarah Elizabeth was born on the 13th in 2009. What a cute and happy little girl. I know she is such a blessing in Chris & Carina's family.

My mom, Betty Lou Stephens Bell, doesn't she look great! This is her wedding day picture, 51 1/2 years ago. She will be 73 on the 15th. Many, many years ago in the preexistence she chose to have me here on earth. I am so lucky to have her as my mom.

Alexis Geraldean will turn 2 on the 18th. She is such a bright spot in her parents lives. I know Jeremy & Stephanie can't imagine life without this fast paced happy go lucky princess.

Ashley will turn another number on the 19th. (I'm not sure she wants me to reveal that number). Jake says what a great cook she is and also what a wonderful photographer.

Happy Birthday to all of us that share this wonderful month of March for our birthdays.

More pix of the trip

So I realize these should have been done first then the next blog second, so just read the next blog first then this one. Hey at least I'm blogging! Enjoy the pix. Now it's your turn to blog!
Madison & Preston at Karate.

Lance and Caetie's fun with the Wii.
Bryce's Family, what hams!

Panama Beach. Brrrr it was so cold. Who knew it could get so cold in Florida. Although there were lots of signs of global warming this year in the U.S. like 2.5 ft. of snow in D.C. and New York with frozen crops in Florida and the like! Yikes!!!

Lance was really wanting this tree out of his backyard so they could play ball and not have this tree in the playing field. What He-Men!!! Yeah!!!

The Travelin' Carters

Our January to mid February trip was just awesome. We went to some pretty great places. Our first stop was Lance & Caetie's. Oh what fun! Of course it wouldn't be a proper visit if we didn't get in some Wii. Even if it wasn't friday or saturday, which is when they usually turn it on. We must be special. We also were able to sit in on one of Lances lectures. Good job Lance. It is amazing how fast the kids are growing.

Our next stop was Bryce & Amy's. We ate at this great Japanese restaurant that cooked the meal right in front of you. A must eat place when you go. We also had our teeth cleaned and checked. Which is always a nerve racking experience for me but this was really a good experience and I will be able to do it without gas from now on. Jeff and Dan both had cavities, and Jeff had his filled. Dan will have to wait, only so much time in a day. Bryce's new office is very professional and friendly not to mention the detail to decorations. Very Nice!!! Good Job Bryce. We also went to Chuck E. Cheese which was an experience all its own.

We then went to Panama City. Bryce and the three older kids went with us for an overnight stay that was colder and rainier than Georgia.:( We tried to go on the beach but it was so windy we almost got blown away!

Dan found a lot of entertainment on the beach. One was feeding the seagulls with bread. It was quite scary. We also found lots of sand dollars and other assorted shells. This was the best beach I have been to in years.

Jeff also enjoyed feeding the birds off our railing on the 21st floor

Our next stop was in Ruskin, which is across the bay from Tampa. Bryce said that Panama City is the redneck riviera, but I'd have to say Ruskin is it. The resorts we stayed at were fabulous. Very clean and with everything you need. Ruskin was nicer and had it's own private areas for beach, tennis, etc. Definitely a place we will book again. We went over to Disney for a day of fun and it was the Disney experience. Dan bought this hat at the Rockin' Roller Coaster and thought he looked awesome in it, (he hasn't taken it off since, just kidding). The grandparents also came down to Ruskin for the week with us and hopefully they enjoyed our company, 'cause we enjoyed theres. Too bad we couldn't get them to go to Disney with us, Dan wanted them to go on all the wild rides!
